A Beginner’s Guide On How To Change Your Life In 30 Days

How To Change Your Life in 30 Days

“Never underestimate the power you have to take your life in a new direction.”― Germany Kent

On a hot late afternoon in October (2013 was the year as I can recall), I sat back in my car, frustrated by the traffic, trying to get home.

I told myself “I can’t let this year end without doing something I am proud of. I’m tired of the same old BS! Something has to change!”

That thought created some sort of interruption in my thought pattern.

It not only brought relief to all the dreary, mundane thoughts floating at the back of my head. It made me think “What can I accomplish before this year ends?”

I coincidentally wrote an article about 10 critical things to do before the year ends. Do check it out.

How I Changed My Life In 30 Days By Starting A Personal Online Brand

I had had enough of feeling like my life had no purpose and was going nowhere.

So I made the decision to hire a brand strategist, who is now a good friend of mine,  to create this website called Push Factor.

We didn’t have much time to do it, because I needed it to go live by the end of that year, 2013.

It took late nights and challenging myself to think outside the proverbial box.

To be honest, I had never worked myself that hard in such a short time.

Tim, my brand strategist, would give me daily and weekly assignments and I had to get them done, whether I liked it or not, because I had set a very specific goal for myself.

I had no choice, I only had one month.

The work paid off because in December 11th 2013, Push Factor was born.

I was ecstatic!

Terrified that I might flop, but excited that for once, I could start something and actually finish it.

From then on, I knew there is nothing I could not do if I put my mind to it.

I even created my first online course that now has almost 4,500 students and a 4.5 out of 5 rating.

Creating A Paradigm Shift For Yourself

Let me tell you what happens when you start to ask yourself different questions:

Your mind goes through a paradigm shift, because now, it cannot give you the same old drivel it has years before.

Your mission now, is to change your life within the next 30 days, preferably before 2019 ends!

So how in the world do you start?

1. You Need A Push Factor

What is a Push Factor?

It is something that you use to push you and motivate you to accomplish something significant in your life.

But here is the catch: your Push Factor has to be something you really care about, like

– wanting to change the circumstances of your life for the sake of a loved one,

– shaking off a bad habit because you know it is affecting your health

– getting back to a project you have neglected for the longest time

Choose an aspect in your life and use it as a motivator to push you to become your ultimate self.

Now you can use your Push Factor to create more specific consequences of what your life would be like if you did, or did not accomplish this very important goal you have set out for yourself.

2. What Would Your Life Look Like If You Achieved This Goal?

Paint a vivid picture in your mind of what how you would feel about yourself when you accomplish that big goal.

– how would this achievement improve your self esteem, and your ability to believe more in yourself and what you are capable of?

-how would it change the way the people closest to you see you?

-what would you start to focus more on to build and nurture this new self you are becoming?

Think of all the possibilities, and how drastically your life would change for the better when you succeed in this goal you set out for yourself.

3. What Would Your Life Look Like If You Did NOT Achieve This Goal?

As equally as you have pictured what your life would look like when you achieve this goal you have set out for yourself, paint yet another vivid picture of what your life would look like if you continue to do nothing about it.

– how much more regret would you have to live with?

– how badly would the feelings of being stuck, broke, sick, resentful, affect your self worth?

– are you willing to face your future self, when you realise that you could have done more but made the decision not to?

These questions can be a great motivator to remind you of what can happen when you decide to leave things as they are.

4. Incorporate your Push Factor Into Your Daily Routine!

Your goal will be achieved when and only when you decide to make it a part of what you do everyday.

It will require you to make sacrifices to your time.

It will make you uncomfortable.

You may need to give up certain habits that distract you or keep you from focusing on executing your plan everyday, but in order to make it happen, you have to take consistent, persistent action!

Be very clear about your goal and break it down into smaller activities that you can do.

Monitor your progress and notice the small wins when you take action each day.

The idea here is to gain momentum and to motivate yourself to keep going even when it gets frustrating.

If You Want Results, You Have To Do The Work

Decide to take this article seriously, and actually do the work required, and you will achieve the results you seek.

You will find that within the next 30 days, your mindset will change completely, which means that your life will go through a massive shift in purpose and passion.
